Tokyo, February 27, 2012 --- Hitachi, Ltd. ("Hitachi", NYSE:HIT / TSE:6501) today announced that it has settled a lawsuit with Hokuriku Electric Power Company based on the proposal of settlement indicated by the Tokyo District Court. The lawsuit related to a claim for damages by Hokuriku Electric Power for damage to low-pressure turbines of Shika Nuclear Power Station No. 2.
