Hitachi, Ltd.(TSE:6501) today announced that the company has completed selection of the
persons from outside the company to be members of its Advisory Board. The Advisory Board
is a new presidential advisory body established to allow Hitachi to obtain the advice of outside
authorities from various fields.
The Advisory Board also has members from inside the company. The internal members are the
Chairman, Vice Chairman, President and Directors whose responsibilities are closely related to
the theme under discussion. The Advisory Board will meet twice a year, with the first meeting
scheduled for July 1999.
