London, UK, September 15, 2016---Hitachi Rail will have its biggest-ever presence at this year's Innotrans, which is set to open its doors on 20th September in Berlin, Germany. The Hitachi Rail stand at the world's largest trade fair dedicated to transport solutions will include Ansaldo STS, and can be found in Hall 4.2 at Stand 304.

The Hitachi Rail stand at Innotrans will focus on the full range of rolling stock on offer, showcasing commuter and regional trains, metro and driverless solutions, monorail as well as high-speed trains including the Japanese shinkansen (high-speed trains), to the fastest train ever mass-produced in Europe, the Italian ETR 1000, and the AT400 concept train for a high-speed network in the UK.
As examples of the broad portfolio of rolling stock, “Caravaggio”, the trains designed for regional transport in Italy will be on show for the first time worldwide. This new train concept won the tender by Trenitalia for the provision of up to 300 double deck high capacity trains for a value of EUR 2,6 billion. Visitors can view a 1:45 scale model at the Hitachi stand. In addition, visitors can find out more information about driverless metro trains for Lima, Honolulu and Taipei which are currently being manufactured in the American and Italian plants.
For the first time, Ansaldo STS will be exhibiting alongside the other Hitachi Rail companies. Its innovative products and technologies, such as satellite solutions, are becoming more advanced and sustainable. Ansaldo STS will also present its efficient capabilities in areas of turnkey and driverless metro projects, with an enviable portfolio of global projects covering more than 270 km of lines, operations and maintenance contracts.
A number of sophisticated simulators will be on show demonstrating a wide range of Ansaldo STS capability as well as simulators demonstrating Hitachi's Traffic Management Systems and service capability.
