Tokyo, April 12, 2017 --- Hitachi Automotive Systems (China) Ltd., the regional management company of Hitachi Automotive Systems, Ltd. in the People's Republic of China (China), today announced that the company will exhibit at the 17th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition (Shanghai Motor Show) to be held in Shanghai from Friday April 21st to Friday April 28th. At the exhibition, the company will introduce a wide range of mobility technologies, products, and systems of the Hitachi Group that contribute to next-generation vehicles, such as autonomous driving and electric power based on the theme of "Moving Forward! to a future connecting people, vehicles and society."
China has become the world's largest automobile market due to the expansion of motorization, and the importance of environmental conservation and reducing traffic accidents grows year by year. Hitachi Automotive Systems contributes to the improvement of safety and the environmental performance of automobiles through electronic products and systems in the fields of environment, safety, and information.
Hitachi Automotive Systems (China) will exhibit jointly with Dongguan Clarion Orient Electronics Co., Ltd. (Clarion Orient Electronics), the local representative of Clarion Co., Ltd. (Clarion) in China, and Hitachi Maxell, Ltd. (Hitachi Maxell) at the Hitachi Group booth (Booth 5BF-001) within the Shanghai National Exhibition and Convention Center.
Introducing electric power technology such as motors that will support the evolution of electric vehicles, 360° sensing technology utilizing cameras and radars to achieve autonomous driving, and integrated vehicle control systems such as safety control technology. Accompanied by video, visitors can experience these technologies scaled to the size of an actual vehicle.
Introducing high-efficiency engine management systems including energy and heat management that contribute to improvements in fuel efficiency.
Introducing Clarion's "Smart Cockpit" HMI that provides driving information to the driver using audio and vibrations and Hitachi Maxell's heads-up display (HUD) for displaying speed, etc. on the windshield using freeform surface optical technology. These technologies enable safer and more comfortable autonomous driving.
Introducing three types of car navigation systems provided by Clarion in China: (1) "Smart Access" smartphone link, (2) internal drive recorders, and (3) internal drive monitoring.
This six-axis driving simulator for 10 passengers is synchronized with video projected on a large screen. Riders can enjoy an exciting simulated Indy Car race while experiencing Hitachi Automotive Systems' drive control system technology.
