Image processing is used to detect stopped vehicles, slow moving vehicles, and dropped objects from images on cameras in low-visibility sections. Detected information is issued to display on message boards and guide light in an interlocked manner, thus urging the target vehicles to run safely and provide assistance during travel. Other applications of the image processing system include the identification of vehicle numbers, the detection of fires in tunnels, and various other areas and systems.
