The new parliament building known as Sappaya-Sapasathan, which spans over an area of 424,000 square meters, is the 2nd largest parliament building in the world after the Pentagon.
The building’s architecture was designed based on the Thai’s spiritual belief and the concept of the ‘Three Worlds’, which defines into Earth, Heaven and Hell. The name “Sappaya-Sapasathan”, translates into “The place of good deeds”.
The parliament building is also the first parliament house in the world that is integrated with advanced smart technology, specifically the 5G network to support its IoT system and is built under the Green Architecture Concept.
