Hitachi is proactively taking steps to identify, avoid, and mitigate procurement risks as much as possible. Such risks derive from the globalization of business and include those related to human rights violations and greenhouse gas emissions.
One such step is the Hitachi Group Sustainable Procurement Guidelines, formulated in July 2021 and distributed to procurement partners. Another step is carefully selecting new procurement partners and products based on the Hitachi Group Global Procurement Code.
