Graphical User Interface
A GUI is one kind of interface for exchanging information between a user and a computer. Since a GUI displays the target for manipulation in a form of an image such as an icon, in comparison with a character user interface (CUI) —which only displays characters—it features good visibility and can be intuitively operated. As computer performance has continued to improve, GUIs have become universally used while being embraced by many kinds of operating systems and applications.
