Mutual Opposite Form
A new encryption technique introduced in August 2004. Adding to signed binary representation, MOF utilizes a calculation method which conversion starts from the most-significant bit in order to reduce the number of elementary elliptic calculation and to increase the speed of encryption processing. It can be utilized by not only standard Elliptic Curve Cryptosystems but also ID-based cryptosystems. It can therefore be implemented across a wide range of products including limited-memory-capacity devices like mobile information terminals.
