A scheme permitting digitally signed documents to be authenticated while at the same time invisibly deleting (redacting) information that should be kept confidential even after the document has been signed. This permits documents to be authenticated even after some of the content has been modified, and also permits detection if the content has otherwise (i.e., aside from the redacted parts) been altered. In other words, digital signatures and redactions are made compatible with this technology.
