Keio University and Hitachi to Commence Joint Research in the Area of Cyber Security for a "Super Smart Society"
Keio University and Hitachi, Ltd. today announced that they have agreed to conduct joint research to contribute to the realization of a "Super Smart Society" which will be based on cyber security and the Internet of Things (IoT).
Security needs will become even more sophisticated and complex in realizing a "Super Smart Society" which involves greater interconnection of a wide diversity of systems. To address this challenge, it is necessary to conduct research from not only a technology viewpoint but also societal viewpoints as well as regulatory frameworks. Through this collaboration, Keio University and Hitachi believe that they can contribute to the operational environment through areas such as security education and policy proposals for regulatory frameworks, and intend to strengthen collaboration in these areas.
